RECYCLING/ ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
At Metro UPS we take recycling very seriously.
Lead contamination is creating a very serious public health issue for people of all ages; but, the impact of lead exposure is most acutely seen in young children. PLEASE DO NOT THROW OUT ANY UPS’S WITH BATTERIES!! RECYCLE
PROPERLY!!
Under state and federal laws, Sealed Lead Acid batteries could be considered hazardous waste. Improper disposal could mean fines and/or penalties. DO NOT THROW OUT THESE BATTERIES!! IN ADDITION TO THE LEAD, THERE ARE MANY OTHER HIGHLY TOXIC CHEMICALS INSIDE THAT NEED TO BE DISPOSED OF
PROPERLY.
At Metro UPS all batteries are disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations. Batteries are deposited at recycling facilities for proper disposal.
We strive to recycle all materials that can be recycled. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need assistance regarding correct disposal of any UPS related items.
